Went for nysfoc pre-camp briefing today.
Im in the group of elekra, with our familiar samuel tan HAHA!
one of my group members felt "special" to me (somehow i dunno y) and I began researching about the person. To my surprise, wow! the person is really an incredible person. Law of attraction huh? Pulls whatever im putting attention to closer to me.
oh, btw have I mentioned that ultimately, I will become a inspirational speaker around the world, touching thousands of lives?
Look forward to knowing more incredible nanyang scholars in the camp and working with worthy ones. :)
A quote from somewhere: Every adversity in life is a lesson sent by god for you to learn something and know the truth.
PS: My blog entries will be more of the things that I have learnt in my life. A single word, a single sentence, if any of them can touch a single life, that will suffice :)

by Dr. Kent M. Keith
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

(Extract from Lord of the Rings, when frodo was on the verge of giving up on holding onto and destroying The One Ring)
Frodo: I can't do this Sam.Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
The difference between winners and losers is not that the winners do not face obstacles or failures. The difference is the fact that winners simply wouldnt turn back. They keep on going.
Jiayou!
