anw, so for the past few days, i have been plugging n unplugging the power sockets in the cpu before i manage to use the com. -.-

We had our squadron bbq tonight at The Officers' Mess (shortform: TOM -.-) So, our flight (SI) went to TOM in the evening.

After having our meal, the FSS TAB KARAOKE COMPETITION officially started~! I was actually quite nervous initially. (the last time i performed was......1 n a half years ago? haha)

The music came in, (needed to wait for 50 secs -.-) so
in the 1st 50 secs,
"hey before i start the song, can i hear some applause for me pls?"

after the 1st chorus, (alot of secs to wait, again -.-) so

hahaha! so in the end, i got 2nd for the competition. (the first is a gal, k la dun mind letting her win XPXP) Got this FSS TAB KARAOKE COMPETITION 2nd trophy and a $20 ntuc voucher. though getting this 2nd isnt really a big deal on its own (btw only 5 pple took part, in case u r wondering why ruihong had suddenly become so pro in singing), its the 1st trophy/medal that i hav obtained in my life~! :D:D (the 1st competition prize that i got is in the form of sweets, so it doesnt really count)

anw im currently in my newest and last unit, Flying Support Squadron @ Tengah Airbase. im in the sub unit of it, Support Flight Section (playing with words ah? not vv funny) and under that, im in its Southern Island (its a erm unit). So in computer terms, u can find me under the folder SAF/RSAF/Air_Power_Generation_Command/Flying_Support_Squadron/Support_Flight_Section/Southern_Island

anw for those who dunno wat we do, we are in charge of our island Pulau Pawai which is among the jurong islands. Basically we just take care of it and do weeding occasionally -.- (slack.)
I quite like the working environment of my new unit as they dun really care about the difference in rank. I think i like the civilian feel of the place more ba haha afterall. Its more office-like.

k thats all bout the prologue yea. anw on sun, i went kbox with daoteng hf qq ytd! i like kboxing with daoteng cos he knows alot of those chinese songs that arent made commercialised! My library of chinese songs widens each time i go kbox with him in fact.

today was mainly a body Maintenance day. Went gym in the morning, took and passed basic theory test in the afternoon. Went to check the prices for braces in my neighbourhood. =D=D im so motivated to make braces in one of the dental clinics! :D:D one of the receptionists is quite pretty :) haha

just ended my unit's honeymoon course IPSC at clementi camp. Its a 2-weeks long stint at the 2pdf where we learn all the security stuff, like how to arrest pple etc. "You are under arrest." *handcuffs

basically the 2weeks were totally relaxing. had lotsa of tea breaks, 2 hrs long lunch break, and bookout at 4 5+ everyday. Our time there was mainly used to play table soccer, PSP (monster hunter n more), pool, darts and eating. 1 word to describe. SHIIIOOOK~!

then went back to tengah on fri for posting. apparently the posting results are not out yet (the 1st posting came out at 4pm + -.-) after doing abit of saikang (well our unit is FDS, meaning Forever Doing Saikang), we played FREE arcade at our mess for the entire day. In retrospect,

1) You shld really try playing 2 guns for those arcade shooting games, its really shiok. I did that for house of the dead 2 XP

2) Those fighter plane arcade games (those type which u sit in the pilot's seat n play 1) are really hard.

Went ubin for cycling on sat. Initially there are supposed to be ard 10+ pple going. Apparently some pple decided to pon at the late min n we ended up with qq,zhikang hf me and sutyee. Sutyee got too sianned n went home while the remaining 4 guys, we played abit of arcade (yea arcade again) at E-hub before going to ubin.

UBIN ROX! its really a getaway island from the fast-paced singapore. Felt much relaxed there. we 1st ate quite a luxurious seafood lunch there at Ubin First Stop Seafood Restaurant. The prawns are really good! Then we decided to rent bikes to tour ard Ubin. There are alot of bike rental shops just outside the ferry terminal (or rather hut. go there and u will get what i mean) So we ended up renting from a shop with quite a not-bad looking girl manning. (that really differentiates the shop from the rest, hmmmm hahaha!)

During our exploration, we chanced upon some sg polytech students who were having either OBS, or some orientation camp. We saw a gamemaster who's waiting for the others to come. then as follows:

me: hahaha dunno whether can go there play or not
hongfei: haha go ask lo haha
the gamemaster (suddenly and surprisingly), with a smile: haha cannot!
hongfei: wah she can hear from so far leh
the rest: duh!

all: hav a nice day! bb~
the gamemaster: haha bb~

hmmm the gamemaster is quite cute huh haha :D
then we went back to whitesands to hav dinner with jas n wenqi at lerkthai. hmmm freeflow rice there......*take note

did something incredible, can only be related to the word "madness" today =/

at 6.45, i was hesitating between going somewhere im supposed to go and changi airport while packing my bag. Then at a flip of a 50cent coin (heads meaning i will go airport), i dumped all the stuff, changed to polo t n jeans and went off to changi, taking a cab (which took me 1 hr cos of a jam in PIE)

felt like i was insane for that particular period la.

anw went there to send liting, whom has a fan club of ard 22 there alr 0.0. (scaryy..) hahaha bu kui shi buddy.

when we saw her, she's still packing her luggage la! 0.0 it turned out that her personal luggage was too heavy and she nids to spread the load across the other luggage bags. -.- tsk tsk

further slack for the entire day until an sms came n told me that there will be make up lessons for this day on the next few days.

hmmm (wah liting u owe me man.. haha)

just had my unit's most high-key event: Exercise Earthworm



As the name suggests, it involves lotsa of digging. (Yes, we are the "worms" in this context) Didnt hav much time to sleep throughout the 4-day field camp. I think i slept for less than 8 hrs in these four days =/ (which resulted in me sleeping from 10 to 10 ytd and 2pm to 6pm haha :D)



Anw it has really been a fast course for us. (suddenly we are at the 2nd last week of my aslc course?!) i admit that i hav been slacking alot for this. hehehe :D:D anw the next thing in mind will be to get the $200 for ippt gold. $$ is good :) oh btw i missed by 2 shots for marksmanship (another $200 =/) for ATP. argh~

shan talk about how slack my tengah air base unit is. :) just rmb, the grass is greener at the other side. :) hahaha

anw went back to sch to watch the jnrs' rehearsal today. well gonna say that they had put in quite a lot of hard work from their performance! though theres still some bu qi now n then. The czartas was quite good! at least wang long's intro is damn good la haha he's able to bring out the emotions alot :D Then there's this hilarious daji ensemble 老鼠娶亲 which celebrates the marriage of a couple of mice. on top of the lively music, the daji pple added in some actions that show the timid nature of the mice such as hiding behind the drums when the music stops. hmmm at least when small cute pple like felicia did them, they look cute la. hmmm Jiang Chuan i promise i wun despise u. :) hahahaha!

故都风情 was not bad. (mainly becos of the nice melody it has alr?) managed to leave a lasting resonance in my brain till now haha. lastly it was dadi, full version. well, it brought back some sweet memories bout my journey in hcco and when i told junzhi bout it, he felt something too! haha just that this time the standard werent as good as the syf standard n we were audience this time. kinda sad.. but :) we had alr completed our chapter :) and tmr the dadi chapter is going to be sealed by our jnrs' hand. =/ 这就是舍不得吧？ haha

anw, im talking so much about this cos.. I CANT GO FOR THE CONCERT TMR COS OF MY EARLY BOOK IN TIMING! ARGH!@# (takes M16 n anyhow shoots at his surroundings)

Just a quick update!

I am officially a corporal now! CPL Cai Ruihong.

Had a hectic weekend! Lets start from the 28 km route march on friday.

The 28km route march from friday evening to sat morn was challenging! We walked 5km,followed by 7km, n 4444 for the rest. (i seriously doubt we walked only 28km, according to sources, we walked 31km to be exact) after the 7km, a significant number of us were feeling tired. From then on, some of us started to sleep while walking!! (including myself.. oops!) haha! i realised that when we walk while sleeping (or rather sleep while walking. whatever, both about the same), we will start moving left (And) right as most of us will still struggle to follow the person in front of us.

Thus incidents as followed were vv common then.

Scenario:
A big bunch of pple walking in twos.
One person swaying left n right while the other sways right n left. Then they knock into each other, wake up and say "sorry..".
Repeat for x times.

=.=

I guessed lots of us almost gave up during the 2nd last 4 km, as it was definitely much more than 4 km. (we walked for 1hr+ while usually it will only take ard 40mins) Its those type of feeling that u feel damn shagged and u noe that u were kenna scammed for walking a lot more, but u dunno when will u actually finish the '4 km' and reach the rest point. Well, the last 4km was not much better too as we had to finish 4km in 20mins. That means lots of blisters, abrasions for us =.= (lots of pple started walking like penguins after the march as they had abrasions all over their bodies =.=)

Anw we were promoted after that and we passed out that day. (with me going back home to slp for 1 hr before going back to sentosa to chiong -.-)

Went for the 3G HCCO gathering at sentosa siloso beach. As i went there quite late, it was mainly a gathering session with LOTS of food (as expected of 2LT ningfei). took quite a few xyz photos with my batch mates haha and sort of celebrated kaili's bday! (with ice cream from new zealands' naturals. yummy haha) Sutyee was collating the number of pple who r going for the HCCO concert for a large part of the night. hmmm hope that alot of snrs will be able to go for the concert!

Had 61 gathering on sunday! went to mindcafe 1st, with audry dawn wangye wufan zhenwei zhiyong kaikeat. Was not bad, qutie fun playing snorta, taboo etc. Then went to this jap restaurant Shokudo for dinner. Then zhexi joe weilong jason n xuejiao joined us. And we found out a piece of info that shocked all the guys!!! ARGH!@#!@ Anw, it was mainly a chit-chat session. Hope to hav more class outings like movie outings etc!

And lastly, for those who are wondering why am i blogging on a tuesday morning and i do not nid to book in, I was told that my new unit is not yet rdy to take us in for training and we hav to take a mini block leave of 3.5 days. Will be booking in on monday instead. this means.....IM ONLY LEFT WITH 6.5 DAYS OF LEAVES FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! ARGH!@#!@#!@#!

All in all, 47th BSLC was a fun experience! Thankfully im in a section with a bunch of fun and trustworthy people whom i can depend more. =D Had quite a lot of outings with them! Manjong outing at yangsheng's hse, nights out arcade outing at jurong point and a street soccer outing at kovan later on in the day! (k thats abit far from my house ><)

Gonna hav passing out parade next sat, a 5 generation hcco outing next sat and a class outing next sun~! :D looking forward to them!!! :D:D

Hi long time no blog~!

Currently im in Sispec Hotel. Its a 5 star hotel, with facilities such as chin-up bars, auto-adjustable water heater (water will be vv warm during a hot day, vv cold during a cold day =.=) and our infamous Sispec Golf course next to us!

Anw actually i quite like my current bunkmates. They are really vv supportive n helpful, given the fact that we are the 1st to do sai gang everytime -.- Life is much better with them around i must say haha. Going to yang sheng's hse tmr for manjong fiesta! hope can win some money man haha (im going broke alr....><)

Went to watch ironman! Quite a nice movie haha with cool graphics here n there. saw trailers of hulk2, speed racer, getsmart! hmmm got quite alot of good movies to catch huh. So, anyone wants to watch any of them tgt? haha

just some observations, i think im getting more n more apathetic after these few weeks in sispec =/ not that passionate in so many things anymore, having a sian attitude most of the time.. =/ nid time and special events to find back my old self i guess?

(EDIT- maybe watching some inspirational movies like The Pursuit of happiness will help? haha watching it now~!)

Was busy applying for scholarships! argh! its really more mafan than BMT man. (though i still rather not go back to tekong)

Had a exciting incident on mon afternoon!! After reading this, you all can start calling me Dreamer the Civilian Hero le. hehehe

I was sitting and eating near the entrance of Bukit Panjang Plaza KFC when 2 gals came and left their bags on the seats opposite mine and went to order.

After a while, (the queue is rather long), a middle-aged man came n walked past the area. (in between my table n the gals', shall name it Area 1 for convenience) I was looking at him by instinct as normally when someone is nearing, u will tend to look at the person. Then he walked out, passing Area 1. Strangely, he came in again after 10 secs, (i was looking at him again), this time peeping at me while walking. He stood in front of the corner for a while (i smell something fishy about his behaviour alr) n went to a seat about 2 tables away from mine. Then when he was coming near to Area 1 again, I happened/pretended to bend down to eat my mashed potato (well, i finished my zinger alr, left with mashed potato anw. Student Meal!), he quickly came n lay his hand on one of the small bags on the gals' table, not knowing that im still observing him using the corner of my vision. I quickly looked up and he immediately let go of the bag and walked a few steps ahead, towards the queue. Then he turned back and found me staring at him hostilely (i gav a really chao bin).

Him: "Zuo me?" (What in hokkein)
Me: "Ne xiong hou xi mai luan lai hor!" (You better dun fool around here hor in hokeein)
Him while twisting his empty hands: "Wah bo zuo me ma" (I didnt do anything in hokkein)

And he immediately went out, to hide in some rat hole i think.

Then I went to approach one of the gals and said "Hey look after ur stuff..." then she turned away during my pause and asked the other gal (her younger sis i think) to go to the seat n wait. -.- wah liew, no chance to tell them i saved their valuables lo. siann (then they da baoed n zaoed b4 i could tell them wat happened exactly. i think my tone was too deep and sounded a bit fierce ba. =.=)

such a weird timing right? most of the teenagers would alr be in sch, starting/resuming their normal sch life. Fortunate (or rather sad) to say, we (06 batch) are alr out of the vicious circle! Shall not emo early in the morning, its around time for me to reflect on the major events in the dec hols and the whole of my JC life. =)

Dec hols:

HK trip with 61 qi1 shao4! namely francis,kaikeat,zhiyong,zhexi,joe,clarence n me. It was really quite a fun experience to roam about a foreign country with just ur legs and ur buddies. Finally visited a Disneyland! (and spent lots of money there) HK is quite similar to singapore, with a better climate and people with better fashion sense (due to the winter wear too). There's no doubt more chio bus there! Creamy Milk. =)
Results of the HK trip: more clothes, less money, a more enthu group of guys back. =) Success!

Mare's bday! (erm no much stuff to comment, just that i wore a winterwear there and feels a bit hot)

XYZ 4 batches dim sum buffet! Its really cool to see all 04 05 06 07 batches to meet together! though didnt really talk much to the 04 batch, it feels really good to talk to the 05 snrs again since their graduation in 06 cos u noe u can rely on them (on paying the bill?) as they are more experienced in more stuff(and richer hehe). Then went to mindcafe with the 0506 batches =)=) haha its super fun! especially playing Taboo! competitively with the 05 batches. (and thrashing the male snrs due to their degenerated vocab after 1 year in ns. oops. LOL!)

06S61 mindcafe outing! When i received dawn's sms on it, it feels like, right after experiencing something that is vv fun n interesting, someone offers another chance for u to try it again! Though it was not a vv big outing, we still had fun n lots of laughter there! I finally realised board games are not bored games at all! :D haha met pple like Atlantis too :)

CO Countdown08@ Wenqi's hse! As usual, it was a mass gathering with food,drinks, PS2 and the infamous Truth & Truth session! This time, we had recruits samuel and zhengyou to tell us stories in army! haha "Totally treated like a dog" (which made me damn worried that night) We started playing Truth & Truth from 3 am, (i joined in later) and started discussing/revealing secrets from each other. I realised most of the stuff belong to a big category, the Future. I guess most of us are quite uncertain bout the days to come since this will be the 1st time that we are leaving the typical education system? I wonder how we will all be in 5, 10 years' time? =/ But i seriously hope that when everyone of us meet the next time, the friendship stays unchanged! =) This makes me suddenly feel like meeting my other close friends b4 my enlistment. hmmm =)
