many mixed feelings now.

am really glad that didnt disappoint all the snrs, ranging from 97 batch to 05 batch, who came down n watch our practices and syf performance.

am really happy that we managed to achieve and sustain the gold with honours, started with the 02 snrs's best jc co in syf

am still excited from performing our pieces, both the set piece and our choice piece 大地回春 which personally i think the piece is as gd as 梦蝶, our choice piece 2 years ago.

am joyous that we, this batch of 06 and 07 CO, managed to achieve what we aimed for in our last run. A status that suits us.

am pleased that we managed to stun the judges...with our music. Voice of Hwa chong. 充满震撼力的。

Would like to thank all the CO peeps for the halcyon days in CO. Its really the first time i enjoy playing in CO, not even in chinese high or GE, but only in HCCO. 能感到大家庭的温暖。

Slept at 10+ on the previous day. Apparently was more tired than excited.

Reached sch at rather early, 15 mins earlier than usual. Received smses of encourgement from classmates and friends. thx! :D (though i replied most of them with a "dun nid, congrats can le" as suggested by our great leaders Shou hao and Jiang Chuan)

Had our tuning at the infamous SCH tuning room at 10+. We played surprisingly well, i think the fact that we can play even better than what we did in sch (without the percussion peeps) deserves some applauses already. Of course, as the environment in the tuning room provides excellent sounds, all of us were given a strong morale booster.

After we left the room, i was shocked(or rather excied) to noe that we hav to queue up for our turn to go on stage. The sch before us was Pioneer JC. hmmm, their standard was rather gd i think. seen as a threat to corrupt our music sense right before our turn, as commented by one of our snrs. Then their choice piece was announced. "金蛇狂舞” LOL! OMG. That piece really issnt what we played normally for CNY and other festival!

Soon, its our turn. We shook hands with each other, "pass down the handshake" which we shook hands with the people standing in front and behind us. Can see that alot of the xyz gals are really nervous, without the usual natural smiles. I started smiling, hoping that they will feel less tensed after seeing at least one of the people smiling haha. I'm so excited that i felt like smiling too.

(according to zhengyou, some of the audience gave the "niao" face upon knowing our choice piece. well, cant blame them too. They may be thinking that we are as joker as PJC, to play 大地回春 after 金蛇狂舞. Chinese New Year songs marathon huh? Well, ours is the other 大地回春. One that is going to pwn the stage..)

We played the set piece rather smoothly. Haha! can see that our conductor, 魏老师，is freaking nervous too! his hands were shaking when starting the songs and ending. He also made some mistakes in conducting, such as asking xyz to come in at 2nd beat of bar 98 (wow, i even rmbed that bar no. correctly!), while we are supposed to come in at the 4th beat. (luckily most of us are like stunned by his action, and still did it correctly by instinct) The piece ended.

魏老师 stoned for quite a while. around 10 sec before starting 大地回春. 整理心情吧？ Well done to xyz for not making much 噪音 while preparing to start! =)

Cello base came in, dao teng' xun1 and junzhi's 中胡's solos came in. Good job! for having such a mysterous setting.

Then xian yue's melody came in. "26~6226 6 2 4 3....." 好有震撼力啊, in fact, just in that little time for the melody 我自己就听得起毛三次。I can assure that every one of the audience felt the same way too.

很快地，we reached the 十，八拍. Qiyu did a great job in his dizi solo! Seen his tremendous improvement in the solo since the preparations for the piece. When its our turn to play, im really very excited and high. I wondered if thats the case for all other xyz peeps. Yuhao was obviously vv high as he was doing all the 台风, like that of a　首席 of the Best CO. =)

The waltz part. Was looking at szuan (mei!). She's smiling! haha! i felt like dancing to the music though its not our turn to play yet. So sutyee,zhengyou gimthia if u all noticed y im shaking slightly from left to right....u noe y now le haha.

快板 really used all my strength in it and played till vv shiok. omg i was really stunned by the 滑音part. Cos everyone was so 齐 rite, i think it sounded quite like a gunshot! omg!

Then the solos, by Juliana, zhiguang and hongfei. realised that our choice piece is coming to an end and felt a little sad =s Lastly the 快板 again and 大地回春 ended. I'm still smiling. This time because of having played and enjoyed our performance on stage.

I asked many right after our turn. And many replied "Damn shiok playing just now" haha! =D
well, after so many years in CO, the most important thing is to learn to enjoy performing ba? Who cares bout obtaining perfect skills and pitching actually.

We went back, took many photos and rushed back to SCH again. Watched njc,rjc,ajc,sajc and jjc. Among them, only rjc was outstanding, with their choice piece 上海随想曲 its really gd. just that their 唢呐 screwed them up.

Stunned. Were they even better than us? Reality suddenly struck me that we may not actually get gwh.

We roared. I recorded this down. We roared.

This year theres 2 gwhs. Congrats to TJC! heard they were really not bad. Hav to see SYF showcase then. The one who gets to play more pieces will obviously be the best.

Jiayou ba HCCO 06-07. This will really be our last performance on stage, to pen down the last chapter by us HCCO 06-07 and leave an amazing legacy in HCCO history.
