Sydney Trip 2009 (part 1)
a long deserved break
170409~260409
(Basically i wrote a diary of the happenings on my e63 phone everyday everywhere i go. I lived in yuheng's sis(christine)'s house along with his sis's bf Bennett, their cousin sharon n sharon's bf tingfeng. :) Its some terraces which i think is a pretty good living place for anyone whos going to aust to stay for a long period. and seriously, australia is a very good place to live in, much better than sg. i think i will probably just settle down and live there if i were to go aust to study or work in the future haha.)
Day 1:
after a long 9 hr flight(somehow my legs feel numb easily on long flights hmm. it was damn uncomfortable of cos!) christine n bennett came and picked us up on her mazda 3! somehow, when we just arrived, the weather was kinda hot n sunny (i thought its autumn there? 0.o) We went to their house. It's 2 storeys tall, has 2 super cute dogs, named momo and eski. shan bore u all with all the details, but the most amusing thing i find is, the dogs have their own "peeing ground" which is marked by some elephant roll paper put on the ground at a corner. (which u will see all their choc n orange juices there. -.-) haha
gonna catch dem all! Momo on the left, eski on the right. they are different breeds btw.
They will stand on their hindlegs n hop when u come back everyday!! :D:D
Momo!

Momo being flipped halfway. (momo is the most nuan dog i hav ever seen, he practically lets u treat him like a soft toy.)
After that we went to centro roseland, some suburb shopping mall at beverly hill. apparently, like what christine has said, the place is frequented by family or elderlies. haha saw vv naughty kids dining there too. we ate amore burger, which is said to be quite well-known. (this is the start of our makan trip hehe) the serving was rather big though. love ang moh countries haha.
we went town hall, which is their city/orchard in sydney, with all the big brands, departmental stores (david jones and myer mainly)concentrated there. roamed ard with yuheng till ard 5pm (when all the shops will heck care u n just close -.-) Due to the autumn season, the sky turns dark very early!
in queen victoria building. (their paragon)
the name of the pic is titled 5.45pm in sydney.
one thing about the suburbs: suburbs are like..different small towns in sydney, with central/townhall/city(they are just 1 big area) as the most populous and most developed 1. they are pretty far apart and we took train (literally trains) most of the time.
we then went to cabramatta station to meet up with christine and cousins for some good vietnam dinner. while we were walking there, tingfeng was telling us tales of cabramatta. its basically northwest of sydney, along with strathfield, populated mainly by vietnamese who migrated to syd. Its apparently full of viet shops and viet triads and according to locals, its not advisable to be walking alone in the streets there at night. From newspapers, these are also the places where gunshot incidents are frequent and the aussie police sort of gave up controlling the crimes.
hmm...
(WTH AM I IN SUCH PLACES ON THE 1ST DAY OF MY RELAXING HOL TRIP?)
anw, we went to this my chuan restaurant which serves really good viet beef noodles. the soup has all the risk was worth it i guess :D haha
thats about all for the 1st day! more to be blogged though :)
